Lokalr — the world is local.
Draft v0.1 · 14 June 2026
Lokalr is a place-first social platform operated by [Legal Entity]. You follow places — from a country to a single street or temple — and receive content anchored to those places. By creating an account or using Lokalr (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lokalr. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s involvement. Lokalr is not directed to children under 13, and we apply a neutral age gate at sign-up. If we learn a user is under 13 we will disable the account and delete associated personal data.
You register with a mobile phone number verified by a one-time passcode. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your phone and device secure. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate any person or place.
Lokalr is organized around a nested hierarchy of places you choose to follow (permanent or temporary, date-ranged). Some features use your device location to suggest nearby places or anchor a post (a check-in). We associate content with place identifiers rather than continuously tracking your movements — see the Privacy Policy.
You own your content. To operate the Service you grant Lokalr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, adapt, publish, display and distribute your content for operating, developing, and promoting the Service. This ends when your content is deleted, except for content others have shared, reasonable backups, and where retention is legally required. You represent you have the rights to your content.
Your use is governed by our Community Guidelines. Among other things, do not post illegal content; content that exploits or endangers children; harassing, hateful, or violent content; infringing content; or false location information used to mislead or manipulate place feeds. No spam, fake/bulk accounts, scraping, or unauthorized access.
We use automated screening and human review. Content may be held, hidden, or removed; accounts may be warned, restricted, or banned. You can report content and block users in-app. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM): we remove it, terminate accounts, preserve evidence as required by law, and report to NCMEC and/or authorities.
The Service, including the Lokalr name and logo, is owned by Lokalr or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the DMCA. Send notices to [dmca@lokalr.app] / designated agent. We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers; a counter-notice process is available.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Lokalr is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited as set out in the final agreement. You rely on any safety or emergency information at your own risk.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or as required by law. Sections that should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State]. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by updating the effective date. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms. Contact: legal@lokalr.app.
